What’s allowed?

Are dogs allowed?

Yes. Dogs are allowed into Texas SandFest, but must be on a leash at all times. Be sure to bring water for your dog as they will get dehydrated quickly on the beach. Also, please be considerate of others and the environment, and pick up after your dog. We will have bags for this at the festival.

May I bring snacks and drinks?

Yes, you may bring your own food and beverages. You may also bring your own ice chests and coolers. Please keep in mind that there is no place to store them. We will also have a variety of delicious food onsite. We also sell beer in the beer tent.

Are ice chests and coolers allowed?

Is smoking allowed?

Yes.

Camping

Can I camp at SandFest?

Tent and RV camping is allowed. There will be 20-30 spots reserved for RVs during SandFest. Spots are available on a “1st come 1st served” basis.

At SandFest

What happens if it rains?

Texas SandFest will happen rain or shine.

Is SandFest accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes. Parking for people with disabilities will be available in the north parking area. Free golf cart tours of the festival will be available at the 1st Aid Tent, located at the north entrance of SandFest.

Will there be ATMs?

Yes. We will have several ATM machines available around SandFest.

Where do I go for First Aid?

The First Aid tent is near the north entrance to SandFest (Sandcastle Drive).

How are Texas SandFest dates chosen?

In the early days of Texas SandFest, it was decided to always schedule the festival in a shoulder tourist season, meaning when very few tourists were in town. How do we select the date?

Dates are selected by the predicted tide charts, using the lowest tides as the scheduled dates.
