Texas SandFest Golf Cart Raffle Rules

1. Sponsor and Eligibility

• This raffle is sponsored by Texas SandFest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located at 200 S Alister St STE E, Port Aransas, TX 78373, organized to support community charities and scholarships.

• Only individuals aged 18+ who are U.S. residents are eligible to participate. Employees, board members, and immediate families of Texas SandFest are excluded.

2. Raffle Purpose and Proceeds

• 100% of net proceeds from ticket sales benefit Texas SandFest’s mission, including community scholarships and donations to local nonprofits. Net proceeds are calculated after direct prize-related costs.

3. Ticket Information

• Tickets are $50 each, plus a processing fee if purchased online or paid by card in person.

• Each ticket includes: Texas SandFest’s name/address, ticket price, prize description (“Custom E-Z-GO Express L6 Golf Cart”), and drawing date (April 19, 2026).

• A total of 650 tickets will be available for sale. Tickets are available online at the Texas SandFest Golf Cart Raffle page or at designated Texas SandFest events from December 22, 2025, to April 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT, or until sold out, whichever comes first. Online sales will close approximately 7 (seven) days prior to the drawing. Online purchases are open to non-residents, subject to applicable laws.

4. Prize Details

• One lucky winner will receive a custom E-Z-GO Express L6 golf cart, provided by Mission Golf Carts. The E-Z-GO Express L6 is the premier choice for cruising your neighborhood or beach. Featuring advanced technology and unexpected comforts, it provides the highest level of safety, durability, reliability, and performance. 

• The prize is valued at $29,500. No cash alternative; prize must be accepted as awarded. The winner must pick up the golf cart in Port Aransas, Texas, or arrange and pay for shipping to a U.S. address.

5. Drawing and Winner Notification

• The drawing will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM CDT at the Music Stage at Texas SandFest.

• The winner will be notified by phone and/or email within 48 hours and must claim the prize within 14 days, providing valid ID and tax information. If the winner fails to claim the prize within 14 days, Texas SandFest reserves the right to select an alternate winner within 30 days or retain the prize for the organization’s benefit.

6. Tax and Liability

• The winner is responsible for reporting the prize’s fair market value ($29,500.) as income to the IRS (Form 1099 will be issued). Non-residents may face additional tax obligations in their jurisdiction.

• Texas SandFest is not liable for taxes, shipping costs, delivery issues, prize condition post-acceptance, or insurance during storage.

7. Publicity Release

• By entering this raffle, the winner grants Texas SandFest permission to use their name, photograph, and likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media posts, newsletters, and event publicity, without further compensation. This consent is irrevocable and applies to all media formats.

8. Compliance and Fairness

• This raffle complies with the Charitable Raffle Enabling Act (Texas Occupations Code Chapter 2002).

• The drawing will be random, supervised by an independent volunteer, open to the public, and audited for ticket totals.

9. Extenuating Circumstances and Extensions

• In accordance with Texas law, if Texas SandFest is unable to award the prize on the scheduled date due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, natural disaster, or vendor delay), a new drawing date may be set.

• This new date shall not exceed 30 days from the original scheduled date. If the prize cannot be awarded within this 30-day extension period,

• Texas SandFest will refund the full ticket price to all participants.

10. Cancellation and Changes

• Texas SandFest reserves the right to cancel the raffle if fewer than 300 tickets are sold by April 1, 2026, with full refunds issued within 30 days of the cancellation announcement.

• Rules may be amended with notice posted online at least 7 days prior to the drawing.

11. Disputes
Any disputes will be governed by Texas law, with resolution sought in Nueces County courts.
